July 28, 2008 - Stratified phosphorus soil testing available for area farmers Farmers within the Sandusky River Basin are eligible to participate in a pilot stratified soil-testing program. The program is designed to provide information on the extent of phosphorus stratification in area soils, as it relates to soil type, tillage practices and nutrient management practices. July 9, 2008 - Utility costs making a dent in food and shelter funds Of the $47,122 awarded to Sandusky County earlier this year to supplement Emergency Food and Shelter Programs (EFSP) in the county, WSOS has used $22,980 by mid-June to help residents pay their utility bills.
